Hi, I'm chelsea
I am a Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist, who studied a Bachelor of Speech and Language Pathology at Charles Sturt University in New South Wales. In my career, I have gained extensive experience working with children of all ages, in a range of different settings including home environments, schools, kindergartens, daycares, in-clinic private practices and via telehealth.
Here at ChatterBugs Speech Therapy we provide mobile speech pathology services to children between the ages 2-12 on the Mornington Peninsula. We know that every child is unique, and understand the importance of providing therapy sessions that are tailored to your child’s needs.
Our Process & Services
We provide mobile speech pathology services at home, school, kinder or daycare. We provide support with speech sound development, receptive and expressive language, fluency, literacy skills, social communication, early communication and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC).
01.
Initial Intake Form
​
An online form that is completed prior to your child's first appointment. This step is to ensure the speech pathologist has all of the relevant background information and reason/s for referral, so they can appropriately plan for the assessment process.
02.
Assessment
​
An individualised assessment and/or screening process to assess your child’s strengths and challenges to allow us to recommend and plan for ongoing speech therapy sessions.
03.
Summary Report
​
Following the assessment, a summary report will be provided to families, which will outline the assessment and/or screening results, recommendations and a therapy plan for ongoing speech therapy sessions.
04.
Speech Therapy Sessions
​
Depending on the recommendations and goals outlined in the report, speech therapy sessions can be provided weekly or fortnightly. The frequency of sessions will be continuously discussed throughout therapy sessions.
